Makwa Ventures Inc., operating as Makwa Aerial, respects the privacy of website visitors, customers, Academy students, and people who contact us. We collect only the information needed to respond to requests, deliver drone services, operate the Academy, process payments, issue certificates, maintain business records, and protect the security of our systems.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site or services, we may collect:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, and service location.
- Quote request details such as requested service, project notes, site access details, timing, location, and messages you send.
- Academy account details such as login email, password hash, course enrollment, course progress, study time, quiz activity, completion date, and certificate records.
- Drone Essentials order details such as items purchased, customer name, email, billing address, shipping address, order status, tracking details, and support records where needed.
- Payment records such as Stripe customer ID, checkout session ID, invoice ID, payment status, amount, currency, product or course purchased, and timestamps.
- Communications such as emails, contact form submissions, support requests, invoice messages, and internal notes related to your account or request.
- Website and security information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, session data, and activity logs used to protect the site and diagnose issues.
Makwa Aerial does not store credit card numbers or sensitive card details. Card payments are handled by Stripe.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Respond to quote requests, service questions, and customer messages.
- Assess whether a requested drone flight can be completed safely, lawfully, and practically.
- Deliver aerial photography, video, inspection, documentation, training, and related services.
- Create and manage Academy accounts, enrollments, lessons, course progress, completions, and certificates.
- Prepare Drone Essentials orders, coordinate shipping updates, and provide order support.
- Process payments, issue receipts or invoices, handle refunds where applicable, and maintain accounting records.
- Send transactional emails such as account, password reset, course enrollment, certificate, quote, invoice, payment, and service messages.
- Improve the website, services, course content, security, and customer support.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
Drone Service Images and Project Data
Drone services may create photos, video, maps, site notes, and other visual documentation. These deliverables may show property, buildings, vehicles, equipment, land features, surrounding areas, or incidental people and activity visible from the operating area.
Makwa Aerial uses project media to complete the requested work, communicate with the customer, manage quality, maintain business records, and provide agreed deliverables. We do not use private client project media in public marketing unless permission has been given or the use is otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments and Stripe
Payments may be processed through Stripe Checkout, Stripe Invoicing, or related Stripe services. Stripe collects and processes payment information under its own privacy and security practices. Makwa Aerial stores payment status and related transaction references so course access, shop orders, invoices, refunds, receipts, and admin records can be managed.
Shop Shipping Support
Drone Essentials physical products and merch may require sharing limited order and shipping details with production, shipping, carrier, or support services so the item can be prepared, shipped, tracked, replaced, or supported.
Email and Communications
We may send transactional emails related to accounts, quotes, purchases, course access, certificates, invoices, password resets, service updates, and customer support. If marketing or promotional email is used, we will use consent where required and include a way to unsubscribe.
Sharing Information
Makwa Aerial may share information with service providers and people who help operate the business, including payment processors, email providers, web hosting providers, business software services, professional advisors, and authorized Makwa Aerial staff or contractors.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect safety, to investigate misuse, to enforce terms, or to protect the rights and property of Makwa Aerial, customers, or others.
Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including service delivery, Academy access, certificate validation, legal compliance, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, security, and business records. Some records, such as invoices, payment records, certificate records, and audit logs, may need to be kept longer.
Security
Makwa Aerial uses practical safeguards such as protected admin areas, password hashing, role-based access, session handling, HTTPS, limited access to administrative data, and service provider controls. No system is perfect, but we work to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.
Your Choices and Access Requests
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, request deletion where practical, withdraw optional consent, or ask questions about how your information is handled. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, certificate, or service record reasons.
Cookies and Site Data
The site may use cookies or similar local storage for login sessions, security, form behavior, and basic website operation. Browser settings can usually block or remove cookies, but some account, Academy, payment, and admin features may not work properly without them.
Children and Students
Makwa Aerial Academy is intended for people who can responsibly use online training materials and comply with applicable drone rules. If a student is under the age required to manage their own personal information or purchases, a parent, guardian, or authorized adult should be involved.
